God, Business & Life
Do you believe in a higher power than yourself?
I do and I believe that it helps me to be a better person.
It is an invisible power that makes me want to better myself – it pushes me to think outside the box, transform, move forward, help others, etc. It keeps me more accountable in my personal life and professional life.
I believe that if we choose to believe in something higher than ourselves it helps in our business decisions, personal decisions and opens our world up to truly being a world of possibilities.
In my early twenties, I studied different religions on my own and made my own decision on what my beliefs would be. Since then, things have grown and perspectives have changed and molded me into the person I am today.
I am not a believer in religion per say, but I am a person who believes in having a relationship with a higher power. I believe that it takes time, effort, energy, work to build that relationship – no different than with family or friends. I read books that help me gain a better understanding and helps me build on that relationship.
I have taken different online courses as well that help open up my world and make me better for being open.
One course I found very intriguing was called “Money & Spirituality” by T. Harv Ecker.
There are many perspectives that we grow up learning – from family, friends, teachers, mentors, church, different books & Bibles. It is good to have and create our own perspective but do you ask your higher power to assist you in your perspective on them?
We tend to get in our own way sometimes with our own blueprints in life and sometimes we need to break down those old blueprints to create new ones that open us up to more possibilities.
Sometimes our old blueprints could be based on untruth which clouds our vision and creates a false foundation, so by breaking those down and being open to new ones, then we open ourselves up to the true truth which can be an eye opening experience.
Choosing to believe in a higher power is a choice, I am not a person who pushes my beliefs on others but it is important to take a moment and acknowledge.
With everything I have done, I believe it has helped me be a better employee, consultant, owner, and person.
Don’t get me wrong, because I have chosen this lifestyle has not always made my life easy – I have followed God and I have fought with God – that is what makes it a true relationship. I am me with him – he gets the real me, sees the real me and I get to experience him in his realness as well because I choose not to put limits on him.
Take a moment to re-evaluate your views on life, higher power, God, Divine – whatever you want to call him, and see if it makes a difference in your personal and business life.
Don't limit yourself and don't put limits on God! It could surprise you!
