Personal Tip or Opinion of the Day

Personal Tip – Subconscious Mind – Apr 12/23

Subconscious Mind:  Our subconscious mind is a very powerful tool if we allow it to be.  If not, it becomes a weapon and that is where the expression “we are our own worst enemy” comes to mind.

Our subconscious mind is where things go round and round and loop if we let them.

Thoughts can be negative or positive, however, it is important to learn how to take control of these powerful thoughts.

By not learning how to take control of these thoughts, it leaves us in a pattern or habit of letting these thoughts run wild – eventually running us instead of us running them.

This gives way to self-doubt, self-esteem issues, comparing yourself to others, pattern of overthinking, and it keeps you stuck in a loop – not growing or changing but stuck…

In my research on this topic, I came across these beneficial links that give different concepts, ideas and techniques to try:

After reading this information, it became clear to me to that it is possible to renew your mind and make changes to our innermost self to benefit our overall lives.

Point # 2 & # 5 in the Forbes link really hit home with me for a few different reasons:  Give yourself permission to be successful & Speak your success as a present fact, not a future plan.

  • It made me think that fear of the unknown plays a huge role in things, which sometimes creates an environment for us to continue in our negative or unwanted patterns and habits because at least we know the outcome, we know what to expect – this is a horrible pattern to accept for our lives
  • By giving yourself permission to succeed, it opens your mind up to new possibilities while conquering the fear of the unknown and rather providing an acceptance of the unknown.
  • This also creates an atmosphere of being bold and trying new things, looking at your dreams and goals and making the necessary changes to focus on those things that would bring more happiness, joy and peace into your life.
  • It also creates an atmosphere of forgiveness instead of regret if things don’t work out exactly how you would want, which keeps you trying different ways and directions in order to obtain them instead of quitting.

Questions to Ponder:

What do you tend to focus on?

What thoughts seem to be on a merry go round in your head?

Did you take time to read the links and see if they could help you?

What changes will you make, if any?
