Personal Tip or Opinion of the Day

Personal Tip – Significance of Numbers – Jan 30/24

Significance of Numbers:  I have always been a numbers person – they have always intrigued me.  Numbers are the universal language in my opinion.

1+1=2 in every language.  Numbers don’t lie – they just are.

What is behind the numbers – just as names have a significant meaning, numbers do as well.  I have explored these and through the years have learned different things about different numbers.  These are what I have comprised.  I will also add some other links to what others have found and explored.

The number 1 is only divisible by itself. It is independent of any other numerals yet composes them all. It symbolizes unity and primacy, and essentially for God.

The number 2 conveys the meaning of a union - a relationship, a partnership!

The number 3 is a completeness - 3 is symbolic of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit – the Trinity.  As they say a 3 fold (stranded) cord is not easily broken. It symbolizes mind, body, and spirit; past, present and future;

Four is the number of creation, the elements, the directions, the seasons. It also symbolizes thankfulness.

The number 5 symbolizes God's grace, goodness and favor toward humans. It also symbolizes mercy

In the Bible, the number 6 symbolizes man and human weakness, the evils of Satan and the manifestation of sin. Man was created on the sixth day.

Seven is the number of completeness and perfection (both physical and spiritual). The number 8 represents a new beginning, meaning a new order or creation, and man's 'born again'.  It is also a combination number of 1+7=8, symbolizing God and Jesus (It is also my favorite number!)

The number 9 symbolizes divine completeness and conveys the meaning of finality.

Number 10 is known as a symbol of the authority and government on the Earth. This number can also symbolize responsibility, law and completeness. Actually, number 10 is considered to be the symbol of obedience and responsibility of people. It is also symbolic of testing and trials.

The number 11 is important in that it can symbolize disorder, chaos and judgment.  It is a combination number 1+10=11 which is symbolic of God’s testing.

The meaning of 12, which is considered a perfect number, is that it symbolizes God's power and authority, as well as serving as a perfect governmental foundation.

The number 13 is symbolic of rebellion and lawlessness.

The number 14 implies a double measure of spiritual perfection. It’s comprised of 2 #7’s.

The number 17 symbolizes "overcoming the enemy" and "complete victory.

The number 19, which is the combining of 10 and 9, usually denotes perfect order.

Twenty is 2 #10’s and can, at times, mean a complete or perfect waiting period.

The number 21 is made up of 3 #7’s – ultimate perfection.

These are just an example of some numbers – the list goes on… and could be infinite…

Also – anything can be turned into a number – take your name for example:

Your name or birthdate – by using the number cypher where a=1, b=2, c=3 etc.

Michele – 13+9+3+8+5+12+5=55 = 5+5=10 – Testing

Honestly that has been my life- one trial after another, struggles, learning.

My b-day – Mar 19, 1974 = 3+19+1+9+7+4=43 = 4+3=7 – completeness and perfection

Here is where numbers and God fascinate me:

Michele – 13+9+3+8+5+12+5=55 = 5+5=10 – Testing

Or done a different way, 1+3+9+3+8+5+1+2+5=37=3+7=10 – same number as above!

Math is perfect and accurate.

Numbers to many people are boring but they have a story to tell. They symbolize many things and are fascinating.  Enjoy the journey of looking into numbers and what they mean to you!

I encourage you to research this on your own to find other people’s perspectives of numbers! Just google the significance of numbers and see where it leads you!
