Pamper You: Do you give yourself a spa day?
Some people would say that they can’t afford to give that to themselves.
During the past two years when things were limited, I took this time to treat myself at home to things that I had previously done outside of the home.
I dyed my own hair, tweezed my eyebrows, gave myself facials, mud masks, exfoliated, did foot baths and pedicures, and gave myself manicures.
Not only did I do that for myself, I did that for my family and taught them how to treat themselves good.
My daughter now prefers to tweeze her own brows instead of getting them waxed.
It gave us the opportunity to provide these things for ourselves and each other. We learned together.
There is no excuse not to do these things – they can be a very inexpensive option at the dollar stores and you feel good afterwards.
Teaching my children to take care of themselves and self-care during this time was very rewarding and fun to enjoy together.
It is something that I will do more often and keep it in house as we have truly enjoyed doing it as a family.
Questions to Ponder:
Do you take time to pamper you – whether it is a spa date or pampering yourself at home?
Have you taught your kids to be good to themselves?
Make a point of treating yourself.
