Diatomaceous earth is a non-toxic way to control pests in the garden. It is effective against all insect pests that crawl on plants because contact with the powder is extremely dehydrating.
After watering the plants, (I use the Epsom salt mixture first instead of just water) then I dust them (or sprinkle them) with the Diatomaceous earth. This will help the powder stick to plant surfaces. Honestly, the next day I check the plant, most if not all of the bugs are gone – awesome stuff!
