Personal Tip – Christmas Baking – Dec 8/23

Christmas Baking:  I am fortunate that I live in the same area as my folks.  We get together every now and then.  This past weekend, we did some Christmas baking.

My youngest daughter (16 1/2) got to learn some recipes that we have made through the years.  Some recipes were from my mom’s mom, some were from my dad’s mom, some were ones that have been in the family for years and we don’t even know where or when they began.  Some were totally brand new that my daughter wanted to add.

Nevertheless, we had an absolutely wonderful time, baking Christmas treats, making memories and taking pictures.

It takes time and effort to make these kinds of moments happen, but they are definitely worth the time and effort for all people involved!

I have done this with all my kids and feel that these are very precious moments that they have enjoyed.  Even my 26 year old son still likes to bake with his Grandma, when he is in town.

Questions to Ponder:

Do you take time to make your kids part of your Christmas baking process?

Do you have baking recipes that get passed down through the years?

Teach your sons and daughters or grandchildren your special recipes.
