Performance Reviews: It’s that time again – or at least for some.
Employees like getting feedback – either way, they like to know where they stand and how you feel about their performance. You can’t improve what you don’t know.
If you are not doing these on a regular basis, please think about incorporating them into HR and letting people know where they stand and how you view their performance. Give them important feedback, let them know what they are doing that is good and helpful to the company, let them know where they could improve, etc.
Questions to Ponder:
How often do you do Performance Evaluations on your employees?
How often do you do Performance Evaluations on your employees?
Is it something you do regularly and as things come up, or do you wait for the annual review?
Do you write things down throughout the year to discuss with your employees and keep separate files on them?
Do you mention things when they come up and feel that is good enough?
It is important to do this regularly but have a process, a form, sign it and get the employee to sign it.
