Business & Personal Tip – Unified Front – Oct 23/24

Unified Front:  It is highly important when dealing with customers, that the business have a unified front, especially those front facing. 

If different departments or individuals are giving different advice, pricing or information to the customer, that causes confusion and then the customer doesn’t know who to trust or believe. 

Make sure your team has the same information and is presenting that information as a unified front.  Each person may portray that information a bit different, but it should be along the same lines. 

If certain employees deal with the same customer, the employees should be talking and communicating together to assist that client in the best way possible. 

It is important for the customers to see that the company has good communication and teamwork, so they don’t try to create division in your team and business as well.  If they realize that the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing and is disorganized, they may look elsewhere or they may utilize that to their benefit. 

Take time to make sure communication is a top priority in your business establishment, give out the correct information that you want passed on to your customers. 

Questions to Ponder: 

On a scale of 1 – 10, how good is information flowing in your organization? 

Is your team creating a unified front environment? 

Could the communication skills be better? 

Does the staff have the same information to pass on? 

Are there some missed opportunities?
