Novembrance Day because in November we Remember!
Novembrance Day: I have said it like this since I was a little girl and it has stuck with me throughout my life - it made sense to me!
I grew up listening to many stories from my parents, grandparents, their siblings, and friends I’ve met along the way from Europe about the different wars. We lost family members to the war. Even my children were fortunate enough to hear some of those stories from my grandparents.
I feel very privileged to have learned this information first hand. You can watch the movies that they have made in memory of the different wars, and I have watched many of them, but it holds a different value when you actually know someone who lived it, who shared that information with you – it makes it personal.
For those of you who have family members that lived through that, I hope you were able to make recordings of those shared stories to pass down to the younger generations. It is a piece of your history.
Take time to Remember today!
