Photos: In a world where the younger generations are continually taking selfies – which honestly just amazes me; I have never enjoyed my photo being taken, never mind sharing it with other people and the world…
Due to this, I am usually the one taking the photos.
This can be a good thing, but I noticed something. I am not in many photos throughout my life, which makes it much harder to make a photo album or scrapbook some key points in my life – when I was always behind the camera!
I have been scrapbooking for years and a majority of what I have scrapbooked has been for other people.
I didn’t notice until recently how few photos I am honestly in. I was wanting to do some things up for my kids and most of the photos are of them – I am not in the photos as I am taking them!
That was honestly the first time I realized that I should not let it bother me to have photos of myself.
My favorite photos are on my wedding day. I let loose and just had fun and didn’t even think about the photographer and those are some of the best photos I have of me.
Now, I have more photos to choose from with me in them and am glad that I am not so bothered by the camera.
I am not exactly going to be taking any selfies to post but am way more comfortable in front of the camera lens and enjoy the moment.
Just a comment to those selfie pepes – just remember once it’s out there, it’s out there for the world to see – so be cautious as to what you post and reveal as many companies do tend to look at your social media prior to hiring people.
Questions to Ponder:
Are you always behind the lens?
How many photos do you have of yourself with others – memory moments?
