Knowledge is Key? No, Applied Knowledge is key!
There has always been that saying that knowledge is key…it is only key if you actually utilize that knowledge and put it to use – meaning applying it.
We all learn things – usually every day or couple of days there is something that you didn’t know previously that you now know!
Seize every opportunity to learn and grow and enrich your life – as you do that, the knowledge that you gain, you can share with others.
As a supervisor or manager, give every opportunity to your staff to train and teach them new ways or things.
Take time to learn and grow as a team – it assists with solidifying the team!
Also, on a personal note, take time to teach your kids things – things that will aid them later on in life – like budgeting or different aspects of your job – explain to them why we need to learn math, English, science, history, etc. and how you apply it in your day to day life both personally and professionally. This will give them a better understanding and maybe appreciation of their schooling and the value that it adds to their future.
Questions to Ponder:
What knowledge do you know but not apply?
Does your company stress the importance of training and learning?
Do you pass on your knowledge to others?
Do you pass on your knowledge to your children?
