Away time: Do you have a job that takes you away from home?
There are many jobs and positions that take you away from your family life. Sometimes it is a few weeks a year, other ones it can be on a more regular basis.
Questions to Ponder:
How do you keep the closeness to your family alive?
How do you keep things growing and moving forward with your spouse?
What keeps you connected?
There are many different options to communicate that technology offers – which is awesome for all of us. We can chat, text, video chat, send photos and videos.
There are sometimes the old fashioned ways that can be interesting as well – leave a love note somewhere, a card that says it all, a gift to find, a treasure hunt with a map or riddles, have a meal delivered for your family to enjoy, play a game over a video call, send flowers or a balloon bouquet to brighten someone’s day.
If someone is going away for a long time, send cards along with them to open throughout the time that they are gone.
It’s the little things that count.
Take time to do the little things for your loved ones – it is worth the effort!
