Blah: Do you ever feel this way?
It has been a bit of a harsh winter where I live – up and down temperatures – a lot of -40 (colder than the North Pole on many days), when it does get nice it storms and then the roads are not good for travelling.
Somedays it is hard to get out of bed when the wind is howling, it’s freezing out and you just want to stay in bed, cover your head and go back to sleep! Then wake up late, have a jammie day and watch movies and rest!
However, if I did that every time it was cold outside, I would literally miss work 50% of the time!
But you can definitely get the winter blah’s at this time of year – you just get sick of battling the cold, the wind, the roads, the shoveling and you just want a beach somewhere!
I find too that I have a lot less energy to accomplish things and just want to relax when I get home, as I am always tired.
So, I decided this weekend, it is going to be a jammie and movie weekend, while I catch up on some much needed rest!
This should rejuvenate me and help me get past these winter blah’s!
Usually, (If the weather is not this harsh), I go on nature walks in the winter. Nature heals and speaks to my soul and rejuvenates me the best from the inside out. However, right now it has been too cold to enjoy something like that. Once it warms up, I look forward to doing this!
