Appreciation: How do you show appreciation to your staff members, co-workers, couriers, clients, etc.
We take many things for granted during the day that others do for us.
All it takes is a few words that would really make someone else’s day and put a bounce in their step, so to speak.
Questions to Ponder:
What do others around you do that makes your job easier or better?
Do you let them know?
What do you do that makes someone else’s job easier or better?
Do others acknowledge this for you?
A few words go a long way in making people feel appreciated and acknowledged, you don’t have to throw a parade in their honor!
Take a look around you today – who do you notice and what do you notice about them? Have you let them know that you appreciate what they do?
If you haven’t done this in the past – start doing it in the present. Take notice of things and people and how they help your life – on a professional or even personal level.
Take time in your day to say a few words and let people know how you feel. Too often we wait until it’s too late and then we end up telling people at their funeral how we felt about them. Take time now to let the person know, you never know what a difference it will make in their life.
Think of how you would like to hear some things as well. Start doing it for others and you might start getting words of praise in return!
