Emotions: Looking at yesterday's post, and really taking a deep look within, how do you affect those around you with your emotions?
We all have emotions – are they controlling you, or are you controlling them?
Sometimes, if we take the time to look at the affect we have on those surrounding us, we have a better idea of what we are doing to ourselves.
When you are in the middle of something, it is hard to see it from a different perspective, but it can be a very important part of the process.
We can get narrow minded or only see things one way – as we shift our focus and look at the way we affect others, we tend to see ourselves in a mirror and sometimes, we can then see it clearly and it assists us in a better direction.
Being emotional takes a lot of energy and it is consuming and exhausting – it eventually wears us down. It takes a toll on us and has the ability to keep us numb and foggy. When we are numb and foggy, we are basing our decisions on the emotion of the hour and not something that is permanent. Making decisions when we are highly emotional, changes the outcome of our lives and we are basing it on a temporary thing – emotions are temporary – they fade, they change, they get bigger, they get smaller, they move on – we grow and learn from them.
Questions to Ponder:
How are your emotions today?
How are they affecting others?
How are they affecting you?
Are they in control?
Are you in control?
