Organization Tip: We waste a lot of time in a day looking for items: keys, tools, glasses, phone, etc.
Create a "home" for each item that makes sense and then be sure to use that “home”. Then when you are looking for it, you know exactly where it should be!
The "home" for each item needs to assist you in your time management. For example, you put toilet paper in your bathroom, not in your kitchen. Utilizing this "home" is like having an organizing system for your utensils instead of just throwing them in a drawer or different drawers. When the utensils are in their own specific place ("home"), it is easier to see and grab what you want and then continue on with what you are doing.
In the same way organize things to be efficient and effective. Not all the tools make sense being put in the tool box. It may make more sense to make a "home" closer to where that exact tool is most often used or needed.
Question to Ponder:
What item do you look for the most?
How much time do you waste in a day, week looking for items for yourself?
How much time do you waste in a day, week looking for items for others?
Instead of wasting that time in the moments that you are most likely in a hurry, take time to create "homes" for items to simplify your life!
