January 23, 2022: At this point there is a lot of discussion and things all over the internet discussing the trucker’s decision to halt their loads as of noon on the 23rd of January and the possible impact it will have.
This is in my opinion the first real act of protest throughout this last 2 years with the pandemic.
It has surprised me at how little protesting has gone on during this time.
I am not an advocate of either position – I have stayed neutral regarding the vaccine or non-vaccine topic of discussion.
I am a firm believer that we all have to live with our decisions – lifelong decisions and so it is a very personal decision.
We all have a right to our opinion and our freedom.
I have friends and family that are vaccinated and I have supported their decision. I have friends and family that are unvaccinated and I am supportive of their decision as well.
Everyone has their own journey.
The truckers are no different.
Unfortunately, I feel that people may blame the truckers for their decision instead of looking beyond that to where this all came from. Either way though, everyone has their own choice, opinion and attitude.
It is an interesting time in history and I think it is going to get more interesting.
At this point, we will wait to see how this will play out and what impact it will have.
Questions to Ponder:
What do you support?
Are you open to other people’s choices?
How has this pandemic changed you (emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually, financially)?
